User Guide: Intro

Guide prepared to help faculty understand what is available via the library for them and their students

Introduction to Library Resources

The Nicolet College Library curates many services and resources specifically for the entire Nicolet College community.

Most library services and resources, as well as operating hours and contact information, can be found and accessed via the library’s website. Chat and text services are available to anyone on or off campus during library open hours.

Find guides that support most programs, frequently offered classes, general subjects, DEI matters, student success topics, research assistance, and more using “Links Lists.”

Find convenient forms on the website to provide feedback about the library generally or library instruction, or to suggest resources. All suggestions are considered, though not everything is acquired.

Lost, damaged, and non-returned items are billed a replacement fee and non-waivable $50 handling fee.

If you are a non-credit student or instructional support for Nicolet students and need access to electronic resources, please contact the library.

The library offers many services at no charge. As always, please contact the library with any questions, concerns, or feedback.

Library Instruction:

Library team members can visit classes to discuss the research process or AI, demonstrate a database, address a specific informational need, or any library-related topic

We welcome groups or classes in the library to answer questions and talk about resources, services, etc. When tours are pre-arranged, we will have talking points and parting gifts available; however, small impromptu tours during open hours are also warmly received.

Any of the above services can be arranged online here, or using any standard contact method.
