Laptop/Netbook/Hotspot Checkout

Nicolet College Bookstore offers a limited number of laptops and/or netbooks and hotspots for checkout to current Nicolet College students. The loan period is subject to change at the Bookstore's discretion, but the loan period in effect at the time of checkout is binding for that transaction.

Some key items to note

  • The borrower is responsible for properly saving all documents and files somewhere other than the laptop. YOUR FILES WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE ON THE LAPTOP AFTER IT IS POWERED OFF.
  • The borrower is responsible for damage to these items and may be charged for repair or replacement. If the damage appears to be intentional, criminal action may be pursued.
  • Non-return of these items will be considered THEFT after twenty days. Nicolet College may pursue criminal and/or civil action at anytime after this period, with or without notice.
  • Bills for items lost, damaged, or thirty or more days past due will include item(s) replacement cost and $50 non-waivable handling fee per item. Hotspot replacement is $200 or more; laptop replacement is $700 or more.
  • When outstanding bills are turned over for collection, they cannot be resolved by returning the item(s). Prior to that event, at bookstore discretion, return of the item(s) in circulating condition may be considered.
